Question:
Why do I need to use a hydraulic oil fortifier?
Answer:
Hydraulic pumps can cavitate due lack of lubrication. H-ZOL provides a coating to the pump to protect it even if the pump is starved for oil when you blow a hose or fitting. H-ZOL contains a complete package to meet many of the OEM’s warranty specifications. When working in very cold and hot climates H-ZOL will help the fluid flow with maximum protection. H-ZOL is a synthetic oil fortifier and will improve the longevity of the hydraulic fluid with better performance.
Question:
I have a hydrostatic transmission in my tractor can I use H-ZOL?
Answer:
Yes, it has been shown that H-ZOL will smooth the shifting with power shifts in hydrostatic transmissions. But, because they work on a limited friction basis do not add more than one 30 ml H-ZOL per litre of hydraulic fluid as slippage can occur if you do not follow the recommended dosage. In all other hydraulic applications you can add up to 45 mls per litre of hydraulic fluid.
Question:
Is synthetic H-ZOL compatible with regular mineral based hydraulic oil?
Answer:
Yes, H-ZOL is compatible with all hydraulic base oils except glycol based oils. H-ZOL is not compatible with water based glycols as they are not soluble with H-ZOL.
